Higham Active Retirement Association, known as HiARA

HiARA is a friendly, welcoming community group for retired and semi retired persons.

Meetings are held each Friday afternoon from 2pm to 4pm.  Doors open at 1.30pm

Membership is £15.00 per year,  new members have first four visits free.  Guests £2. Per visit.

Three Fridays per month are activity afternoons…..short mat bowls, crafting, art, cards, knitting, etc or just a cup of tea and a chat in friendly surroundings.

Fourth Friday has an interesting guest speaker, or, a themed social afternoon.

Fifth Friday is a quiz.

Our club also arranges day trips by coach.   We have a walking group which meets weekly for walks in the local countryside or to the coast, followed by a pub or café lunch.   We have two evening social events, which could be a tribute night or race night.   Our committee is always interested in ideas from members.
